The IRC opened an office in Des Moines, Iowa in 2022, and in Iowa City in 2024, to provide reception and placement services to newly arrived refugees. The office also facilitates post-resettlement and other supportive services to vulnerable populations in Iowa. The Victims of Trafficking Program serves vulnerable, diverse populations that have experienced various forms of human trafficking by providing intensive case management services, coupled with robust community partnerships and referral programs. Case management services under the Victims of Trafficking program are holistic in nature, offering the support necessary to ensure self-sufficiency, autonomy, and safety for each client served.
Job Overview The primary role of the Anti-Trafficking Caseworker for IRC Iowa is to provide comprehensive, culturally appropriate, client-centered case management services for domestic and foreign victims of human trafficking (sex and/or labor trafficking), including completing eligibility screening and enrollment paperwork, developing service plans, educating about community services, resources, and legal rights, and helping problem solve barriers to access. This position is also responsible for assisting with administrative tasks including case notes, case file management, and data collection.
(Pay Rate: $23-$25.90). Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
