Job summary

The MIL Corporation seeks an Anti-Tamper (AT) / Systems Engineer (Security Engineering, Senior Associate) to support Naval Aviation acquisition programs. This on-site role will be based at the Naval Air Warfare Center, Patuxent River, Maryland, with 5 days on-site and potential compressed work schedule.

You will implement AT policies, participate in CPI assessments, and conduct system trade-off analyses to ensure protection of critical information. A Top-Secret/SCI clearance is required.

Qualifications

  • Ten+ years of systems engineering and AT experience.
  • Knowledge of weapon system architectures resistant to reverse engineering.
  • Experience applying SE methods to weapon systems.
  • DoD SSE experience and DoW lifecycle familiarity.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in AT solutions throughout the program life cycle.
  • Implement AT policies and guidance in systems development.
  • Identify CPI and assess consequences of compromise.
  • Conduct system trade-off analyses for AT solutions.
  • Develop AT contractual requirements for developmental programs.
  • Evaluate architectures for protection standard compliance.
  • Coordinate with agencies to meet protection requirements.
  • Assist Navy V&V team with AT designs and solutions.
  • Support risk management, mitigation and reporting.
  • Communicate across teams to accelerate development.
  • Serve on TRB as AT/SSE expert.

Job description

**Summary**

**The MIL Corporation** seeks an **Anti-Tamper (AT) /Systems Engineer (Security Engineering, Senior Associate)** that will support our Naval Aviation acquisition programs; which has an exciting opportunity supporting a major ACAT developmental program. The MIL Corporation provides a full range of engineering services including AT, cyber resiliency engineering, vulnerability research, software and hardware penetration testing, reverse engineering, support of the NAVAIR Red Team, as well as other System Security Engineering (SSE) support to Naval Aviation acquisition programs. This AT Systems Engineering position will be based onsite at the Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Maryland.

This position currently requires an on-site schedule, with 5 days on-site and is eligible for Compressed Work Schedule (CWS). Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements.

**Responsibilities**
  • Participate and provide inputs to Anti-Tamper (AT) solutions throughout the program life cycle
  • Implement AT policies, instructions, guidance, in systems development
  • Participate in identification of weapon system critical program information (CPI), and determination of consequence of compromise
  • Conduct system trade-off analysis in recommending a reasonable AT solution
  • Develop and advocate AT contractual requirements in support of developmental programs.
  • Facilitate evaluation of weapons system architectures for compliance to protection standards.
  • Coordinate with program, service, Joint and Department of War agencies to ensure system horizontal protection requirements are met.
  • Assist the Navy Verification & Validation (V&V) team with assessment of AT designs and solutions.
  • Support program risk management, mitigation and reporting.
  • Communicate across the technical teams to share information, address issues, and accelerate pace of new development.
  • Serve as a Technical Review Board (TRB) member for systems technical events providing AT/SSE expertise.
Travel

10 - 15% to other sites, as needed

**Required Qualifications**
  • At least ten (10) years of recent and relevant experience in Systems Engineering and AT
  • Knowledge and experience in weapons system architectures that resist reverse engineering
  • Must have programmatic or technical knowledge identifying, formulating, designing and/or testing practical solutions to engineering problems and as well as guiding the engineering development of modern complex systems.
  • Required experience with application of systems engineering methods and tools in the development of weapon systems.
  • Knowledge and direct experience in Systems Engineering, SSE and Anti-Tamper related to weapon systems and platforms.
  • Knowledge and experience in DoW Systems Acquisition Life Cycle.
**Desired Qualifications**
  • Knowledge with Model Based Systems Engineering & Digital Engineering Transformations
  • Recent and direct experience in AT systems engineering is highly desired.
  • Recent and direct experience with DoW acquisitions is highly desired.
  • Master's Degree in Technical Field.
**Education**

BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related scientific discipline.

**Clearance**

All applicants for this position must possess a current**Top-Secret** clearance with the ability to obtain/maintain a **Top-Secret/SCI**clearance; please note that the clearance process considers financial background aspects.

**Compensation**

For this position, the projected compensation range is $175,000 - $200,000 per year. This estimate represents the typical salary range and is just one part of MIL's complete compensation package.
