Job summary

Southern Housing is seeking a committed professional to join the Housing Directorate's regional Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) team in Portsmouth, offering hybrid working arrangements. You will respond to ASB, manage risk and help residents feel safe in their homes and communities.

Reporting to the ASB Manager, you’ll triage reports, assess risk, agree action plans, and investigate incidents, while working with empathy, professionalism and sound judgement across neighbourhoods.

Qualifications

• Experience of ASB case management in housing or similar environment.
• Excellent communication and ability to explain complex information clearly.
• Strong judgement and resilience when dealing with challenging situations.
• Ability to manage a varied caseload and prioritise work to meet service standards.

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Job description

We’re looking for a committed and compassionate professional to join our Housing Directorate as part of our regional Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) team. This is a rewarding role where you’ll make a real difference to residents’ lives by responding to ASB, managing risk, and helping people feel safe in their homes and communities.

Reporting to the ASB Manager, you’ll provide a high quality, resident focused service, dealing with a wide range of ASB cases. On a duty basis, you’ll triage new reports, assess risk, agree action plans, and investigate incidents, always working with empathy, professionalism, and sound judgement. You’ll manage a varied caseload, gathering and evaluating evidence, taking proportionate action to prevent further incidents, and using legal remedies where appropriate. You’ll also work closely with internal teams and external partners to address ASB effectively and proactively across our neighbourhoods.

Location: Hooper Court, Portsmouth with regular travel across Hampshire. You’ll have the opportunity for hybrid working as agreed with your line manager.

You’re calm under pressure, confident in your decision making, and motivated by helping people through difficult situations. You’re able to balance empathy with professionalism, ensuring residents feel heard while clearly managing expectations and outcomes.
