Job summary

Colorado State University in Fort Collins invites applications for instructors hired on an as-needed basis to teach introductory (and occasionally upper-division) in-person courses in archaeology, cultural and biological anthropology, or geography. Positions are for a single semester and assignments vary by course.

The supervisor will define exact duties at hire. Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree in anthropology, geography or a related field and university-level teaching

Essential Job Duties:

• Preparing lectures
• Creating assignments
• Holding office hours
• Grading course materials

Specific duties will be defined at the time of hire by the supervisor.

Supervision:

This position reports to the Department Chair of Sociology.

Conditions of Employment:

Pre-employment criminal background check (required for all new hires).

Minimum Qualifications:

• A Master's degree in anthropology, geography or related field is required.
• Prior experience teaching at the university level.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A Ph.D. is preferred.
