Job summary

Endeavor Health in Evanston, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse, Antepartum for the day shift at Evanston Hospital. This full-time role offers a 36-hour week, 0700–1930 hours, and weekend rotation, with the possibility to float to the postpartum unit.

You will develop and evaluate care plans, assess patients, document data, and educate patients and families, while collaborating with the clinical team to deliver safe, compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Develops a plan of care that identifies interventions to achieve expected outcomes.
• Evaluates patient's progress toward attainment of outcomes, revises diagnosis and interventions as needed.
• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers.
• Communicates plan of care to patient and family regularly respecting the patient's wishes.
• Documents patient health data, interventions and communications.
• Individualizes patient and family teaching based on a thorough assessment to meet learning needs.
• Assesses patient's cultural background, learning style, and modifies teaching plan accordingly.
