Job summary

Astranis, a San Francisco satellite company, is seeking an Antenna Intern to collaborate with mechanical, thermal, and payload engineers on antenna systems for ongoing and next-generation satellites. This twelve-week, hourly internship offers hands-on experience in high‑performance RF design and space hardware.

You will use CST/HFSS/TICRA tools, perform measurements with VNA and spectrum analyzers, and contribute to system-level trade studies.

Qualifications

• Fundamental understanding of electromagnetics and antenna basics.
• Experience with vector network analyzers and spectrum analyzers.
• Familiarity with Python or MATLAB for scripting and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Leverage design tools to realize high‑performance antenna systems with on‑orbit flexibility.
• Work with vendors to design and procure components and validate performance in testing.
• Co‑design antenna components with Mechanical/Structural/Thermal/Payload teams.
