Job summary

Thales Defense & Security, Inc. seeks a Direction Finding (DF) / Antenna RF Engineer to join our Germantown, MD office. You will design circular array antennas to provide 360-degree coverage and develop DF algorithms, reporting to the Engineering Director.

The role requires U.S. citizenship, an MSEE or equivalent, and hands-on RF testing experience; we offer a competitive compensation package with a 9/80 schedule and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Must hold an MSEE or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of antenna theory and direction finding.
• Experience with RF propagation, antennas, and measurement equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop circular array antennas for 360-degree azimuth coverage.
• Develop and test direction finding algorithms.
• Collaborate in small teams to define requirements and prototype RF subsystems.
• Verify performance against predictions and support continuous improvement.
• Communicate status and issues clearly to management.
