A specialized environmental service contractor is seeking a Waste Management Specialist for the Austral Summer season. The position involves coordinating waste pick-up and processing at the South Pole, attending meetings, and maintaining safety protocols. Ideal candidates will have prior Antarctic experience and be physically able to perform duties in challenging outdoor conditions. This role emphasizes teamwork, flexibility, and safety adherence, ensuring compliance with health and environmental regulations.

Qualifications

• Previous Antarctic deployment is required for this role.
• Proficient computer skills, including Excel and Outlook.
• Must be able to lift safety regulation maximum consistently.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Managers for seasonal planning.
• Ensure efficient waste processing and pick-up.
• Respond to spills and ensure proper clean-up.

Skills

Familiarity with power tools and machinery
