Job summary

Gana-A'Yoo Services Corporation (GSC) Antarctica seeks a Steward Coordinator, Food Services at McMurdo Station, supporting the NSF Antarctic Program. You’ll supervise day-to-day steward staff, organize tasking, supply orders, and ensure safety and efficiency with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities include leading dining Attendants, coordinating with the Culinary and Lodging Managers, and maintaining records. Requires ServSafe cert, U.S.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of work experience in hotel or restaurant-related industry.
• One year of supervisory experience required.
• Basic computer skills with word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
• Previous Antarctic Station Services experience may be accepted in lieu of minimum experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day activities of Lead Dining Attendants and Stewards.
• Set pre-season expectations and post-season evaluations for staff.
• Coordinate with Culinary and Lodging Managers on initiatives and tasks.
• Manage scheduling, staffing, and equipment needs for meal services.
• Maintain safety programs and report injuries, near misses, and issues.
