Job summary

Amentum is seeking a skilled carpenter for a seasonal contract performing rough framing and finish carpentry in support of the United States Antarctic Program. Work under supervision to complete tasks based on prior experience and ASC schedule needs, including remote deployment to McMurdo when required.

Required is a high school diploma or GED and at least four years in carpentry, with ability to read drawings and work with SOPs.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret design drawings, specifications, and diagrams.
• Possess computer experience and willingness to learn computer-based labor, inventory, and maintenance tracking apps.
• Competencies to perform the duties of the position.

Responsibilities

• Perform rough framing and finish carpentry using a variety of materials and tools.
• Work in undeveloped or remote areas and in adverse conditions.
• Maintain accurate records of hours, tasks, materials, and processes.
