Job summary

EAPPS TECH LLC dba Magicforce is seeking an Ansible AI Engineer Lead for a contract role in Chicago, IL (Day 1 onsite). The role focuses on Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) 2.x automation with AI-assisted workflow creation and optimization, plus infrastructure provisioning use cases.

You will build and manage Ansible-based solutions, collaborate with REST APIs, ServiceNow, CI/CD, and GitOps, and use Claude Code for AI-assisted code generation, refactoring, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) 2.x is required.
• Strong hands-on with Ansible playbooks, roles, collections, and workflow templates.
• Experience implementing configuration management and configuration as code.
• Proven track record in infrastructure automation, server build and provisioning.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, GitOps, and GitHub-based automation lifecycles.
• Proficient in Python scripting, YAML, and Jinja2 for automation logic.
• REST API integration and API-based orchestration experience.
• Experience administering Automation Controller and Automation Hub.
• Knowledge of Event-Driven Ansible and AI-assisted development tools.
• Familiar with ServiceNow integration and ITSM workflows.

EAPPS TECH LLC dba Magicforce is seeking an Ansible AI Engineer Lead for a contract role based in Chicago, IL (Day 1 onsite). This position centers on Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) 2.x automation development, with an emphasis on AI-assisted workflow creation and optimization, as well as infrastructure provisioning use cases.

Working within Magicforce’s automation environment, you will build and manage Ansible-based solutions across playbooks, roles, and workflow templates, while also handling orchestration and integrations using REST APIs, ServiceNow, and CI/CD and GitOps practices. The role is supported by Claude Code for AI-assisted code generation, refactoring, debugging, and documentation.

What You’ll Do

• Develop Ansible playbooks and structure automation using Ansible roles, collections, and workflow templates
• Implement configuration management and configuration as code approaches
• Deliver infrastructure automation including server build and provisioning
• Automate configuration drift remediation and manage OS and middleware configuration
• Create automation for patch and compliance, along with operational task automation and infrastructure lifecycle automation
• Build self-service automation capabilities
• Support a Git/GitHub based automation lifecycle aligned with CI/CD and GitOps practices
• Use Python scripting, including YAML/Jinja2 for automation logic and templating
• Integrate automation via REST APIs and orchestrate automation using API-based methods
• Administer Automation Controller and Automation Hub
• Implement Event-Driven Ansible for event-triggered automation
• Apply AI-assisted development for playbook development and optimization, including debugging and troubleshooting
• Use Claude Code for AI-assisted code generation and refactoring, plus AI-assisted documentation generation
• Perform prompt engineering for infrastructure automation

Integrations and Workflow Alignment

• Work with ServiceNow integration for ITSM workflow integration
• Enable CI/CD integration and align deliverables with GitOps practices
