Georgia 4-H is seeking an ANR Agent for Clay & Randolph Counties to deliver educational programs in Agriculture and Natural Resources to diverse audiences. The role requires travel to district and state levels, evening meetings, and weekend activities, with a focus on youth outreach and community engagement.

The position emphasizes collaboration with county and state staff, development of educational plans, and delivering programming that meets community needs.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal & Dairy Science, Human/Youth Development, or related area; a Bachelor's degree acceptable for provisional appointment.
• Ability to speak to/teach large groups of residents.
• Organize and carry out activities and programming for youth.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with county, district, and state staff, local government employees, and clientele.
• High standards of professionalism in personal contacts, appearance, and work habit.
• Express thoughts clearly and concisely through written and verbal communication.
• Work as a team member and engage with groups and committees.
• Design, coordinate, and teach educational programs to meet community needs.
• Skills in leadership and management.

Responsabilités

• Provide educational programming in Agriculture and Natural Resources (ANR) to diverse audiences using multiple teaching methods.
• Travel frequently to Randolph and Clay counties and attend out-of-county meetings.
• Serve as adviser and teacher for ANR to local communities.
• Develop relationships with farmers, landowners and stakeholders to expand outreach.
• Collaborate with county and state staff to implement plan of work and community needs.
