Job summary

University of Georgia seeks a Greene County Agriculture and Natural Resources Agent to provide educational programs in ANR across Greene County, including production agriculture, horticulture, and natural resources. The role involves frequent night meetings, some weekend work, and travel to out-of-county events.

A valid driver’s license and access to a private vehicle for official travel are required; 4-H activities and district/state events are common and supported.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal and Dairy Science, or related area.
• Bachelor’s degree acceptable for a Public Service Provisional appointment.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes advisory groups and community leaders to analyze data and identify educational needs.
• Develops and delivers educational programs in ANR for Greene County.
• Collaborates with other staff to plan interdisciplinary programs.
• Promotes extension programming to diverse audiences.
• Ensures Civil Rights/Equal Opportunity compliance in programming.
