Job summary

University of Georgia seeks a Wayne County Agriculture & Natural Resources Agent to provide educational programming in ANR across the county, focusing on production agriculture, horticulture, and natural resources. You will work with diverse audiences using multiple teaching methods and travel to district/state events as needed.

Responsibilities include collaborating with advisory groups, planning equitable work plans, and delivering engaging workshops.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Human/Youth Development, Sociology, Education, Agriculture, Family & Consumer Sciences, Recreation, or related area.
• A Bachelor’s degree is acceptable for a Public Service Provisional appointment.

Responsibilities

• Provides educational programming related to Agriculture & Natural Resources in the County.
• Utilizes advisory groups, community leaders, and officials to analyze data and develop educational programs.
• Develops an equitable plan of work meeting diverse county needs.
• Provides reporting and participates in civic/community activities to support extension programming.
