• Support the Annuity Operations team with administrative tasks and special projects.

Reporting to: Annuity Operations Manager

Location: Topeka, KS - Onsite

Overview:

Are you looking for an opportunity to learn more about the world of annuities and financial services while supporting a high-performing team? Our Annuity Operations department is seeking a talented and motivated Annuity Operations Intern to help our team deliver exceptional service to our clients.

The Annuity Operations Intern will play a vital role in assisting with service requests, conducting follow-up communications with carriers, and handling important data entry and reporting tasks. You’ll gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment-ideal for someone interested in pursuing a future in business, financial services, or operations.

This internship position will begin in January 2027 and is an on-going internship, not a seasonal or summer internship. It is on-site in our Topeka, KS office and not open to remote work. Additionally, please note that the company does not extend sponsorship opportunities at this time.

What you’ll do:

• Make outgoing calls and use carrier websites to obtain policy values and status updates on in-force annuity contracts
• Follow up on service items (such as address changes, beneficiary updates, or policy information requests) by working directly with insurance carriers
• Accurately enter data from annuity applications and service items into our tracking systems
• Assist with compiling and distributing reports related to annuity business
• Support the Annuity Operations team with administrative tasks and special projects as needed
• Exhibit a positive, collaborative approach to all assignments

Experience you’ll bring:

• College-level coursework in business, finance, communications, or related field preferred but not required
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and confidently over the phone and in writing
• A positive, proactive approach to work with the ability to handle multiple priorities
• Willingness to learn new systems and processes quickly
• PC proficiency and comfortable navigating multiple programs and online platforms

Bonus Points:

• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Prior office, administrative, or customer service experience
• Interest in financial services or operations
