Job summary

Lincoln Financial Group in Radnor, PA is seeking a skilled analyst to drive expense variance analyses and support forecasting and budgeting for the Annuities business. You will partner with finance teams to model expenses, monitor results vs. expectations, and implement improvements across periods.

The role emphasizes collaboration, data integrity, and delivering timely financial insights. A 4-year degree is required, with 3–5+ years of experience in FP&A or related analytics, in a hybrid work

The Role at a Glance
What you'll be doing
  • Identify and analyze expense variances (actuals, budget, forecast) and builds detail line analysis for variances for current month, YTD, QTD, and FY forecast
  • Develops detailed expense analysis primarily around allocated expenses impacting the Annuities business line.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of product level expense assumptions for use in pricing and actuarial modelling, including monitoring actual results vs. expectation
  • Provides support for quarterly forecasting, annual budgeting, and longer term expense planning
  • Identifies and recommends process improvements that significantly reduce workloads and/or improve quality for assigned area(s)
  • Serves as a resource to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on more complex assignments/projects
  • Provides periodic and ad-hoc reporting to team members, leaders and stakeholders
  • Contributes to financial component of the strategic planning process, including creation of business case and CBA documentation and alignment of budget with approved initiatives

Must-haves:

  • 3 – 5+ years of experience as an analyst that aligns with the responsibilities
  • 4 year degree or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining attention to detail
  • A strong work ethic who can overcome obstacles and knows how to partner with others to ensure the works gets done
  • Excellentanalytical and problem solving skills

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience in Financial Services, specifically Annuities
  • Experience in FP&A roles

The pay range for this position is$84,375 - $135,000with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
