Job summary

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education Required

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, business, nonprofit management, fundraising/development, or a related field.

Education Preferred

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree with coursework or concentration in nonprofit management, fundraising/development, marketing, communications, public relations, business, or a related discipline.
• Professional fundraising education or development training.

Experience

Required:

• 2–4 years of progressively responsible professional experience in fundraising, annual giving, development, donor relations, sales/account management, community engagement, or a closely related relationship-development role.
• Demonstrated experience communicating with external stakeholders and managing multiple priorities, deadlines, and projects.
• Experience using CRM, donor database, or comparable relationship-management/reporting systems.

Experience Preferred

Preferred:

• Nonprofit or healthcare foundation experience.
• Direct annual giving experience involving donor acquisition, renewal, retention, upgrades, or portfolio management.
• Experience with fundraising campaigns, direct mail, digital appeals, donor events, sponsorship development, or stewardship programs.
• Experience with donor segmentation, campaign analytics, ROI reporting, and fundraising performance metrics.
• Established familiarity with the Northeast Arkansas community and local civic/business relationships.

JOB SUMMARY

The Annual Giving Officer is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the St. Bernard’s Foundation’s annual giving program to acquire, renew, upgrade, and retain donors. The position manages an assigned portfolio of annual fund donors and prospects; develops multichannel appeals and donor communications; coordinates fundraising and stewardship events; identifies and develops sponsorship opportunities; and uses donor data and campaign results to improve fundraising performance. The role builds long-term donor relationships, supports employee and departmental fundraising initiatives, and partners with the President, Major Gifts Officer, Marketing, and other Foundation and organizational stakeholders to advance philanthropic support for St. Bernard’s Healthcare.
