Qualifications

  • Serve as the primary contact for the Office of Annual Giving.

  • Assist with donor communications, mailings, appeals, and events.
  • Assist with budget administration, invoice processing, and financial reconciliation.

Job description

Saint Anselm College, a Catholic, liberal arts college in the Benedictine tradition, is seeking a highly skilled, self-motivated Annual Giving Coordinator to join the College Advancement team. Reporting directly to the Assistant Vice President of Annual Giving, the Annual Giving Coordinator will support the planning, execution, and administration of the College's annual giving program and fundraising initiatives.

BASIC FUNCTION

The Annual Giving Coordinator provides administrative and operational support for the Office of Annual Giving and serves as a key member of the Advancement team. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Annual Giving, this position works closely with the Associate Director of Annual Giving, Senior Associate Director of Annual Giving, and other Advancement colleagues to support fundraising initiatives, donor engagement efforts, stewardship activities, volunteer programs, and special projects. Serving as the primary point of contact for the Annual Giving office, the Coordinator manages a variety of administrative functions that contribute to the successful execution of annual giving strategies and programs. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent customer service, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment. This position maintains regular interaction with alumni, donors, volunteers, students, faculty, staff, and campus partners and may require occasional evening and weekend work in support of College Advancement activities and events.

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Office of Annual Giving, responding to email and phone inquiries.
  • Provide administrative support to the Assistant Vice President of Annual Giving, and the Annual Giving team.
  • Support the implementation of annual giving initiatives, donor engagement activities, stewardship efforts, and special projects.
  • Maintain accurate donor and constituent records, including the entry of contact reports and other constituent information.
  • Generate reports, lists, and data exports to support fundraising activities and departmental operations.
  • Assist with donor communications, mailings, appeals, and other fundraising activities.
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for events, meetings, and volunteer activities.
  • Assist with budget administration, invoice processing, expense tracking, and financial reconciliation.
  • Coordinate student workers and provide general office management support.
  • Collaborate with Advancement colleagues and campus partners to support departmental goals and priorities.
  • Attend and support Advancement events and activities as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • One to three years of experience in fundraising, annual giving, alumni relations, advancement services, higher education, nonprofit development, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge, or similar donor database systems preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, deadlines, and budgets simultaneously.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, particularly in data management and reporting.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive donor information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Positive attitude and exceptional customer service skills, with demonstrated ability to engage professionally with donors, alumni, faculty, staff, students, and volunteers.
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends in support of College events and fundraising activities.
