Job summary

Catholic Charities East Bay seeks a dynamic and self-motivated Annual Fund Manager to support the organization’s fundraising efforts. Reporting to the Director of Development, the Annual Fund Manager will develop and implement strategies for donor acquisition, retention, and growth.

This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work across departments, and a commitment to Catholic Charities East Bay’s mission of serving the most vulnerable in our communities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 2+ years of fundraising/development experience including annual giving, donor stewardship and events.
  • Experience with fundraising databases (e.g., Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce) required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute annual fundraising strategies (direct mail, online giving, donor stewardship).
  • Coordinate donor appeals/campaigns, including segmentation and messaging.
  • Plan and implement fundraising events and donor engagement opportunities.
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally to integrate fundraising with programs and communications.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with new and existing donors for effective stewardship.
  • Analyze fundraising data to evaluate campaigns and recommend improvements.
  • Support grant and sponsorship efforts in collaboration with the development team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Summary:

Catholic Charities East Bay seeks a dynamic and self-motivated Annual Fund Manager to support the organization’s fundraising efforts. Reporting to the Director of Development, the Annual Fund Manager will work closely with the Director to develop and implement strategies for donor acquisition, retention, and growth. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively across departments, and a commitment to Catholic Charities East Bay’s mission of serving the most vulnerable in our communities.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Director to develop and execute annual fundraising strategies, including direct mail, online giving, and donor stewardship initiatives.
  • Coordinate and execute donor appeals and campaigns, including segmentation, messaging, and follow-up communications.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of fundraising events and donor engagement opportunities.
  • Work cross-departmentally to integrate fundraising efforts with programmatic initiatives and communications strategies.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with new and existing donors, ensuring effective stewardship and recognition.
  • Analyze fundraising data to evaluate the success of campaigns and make recommendations for future strategies.
  • Support grant and sponsorship efforts as needed, in collaboration with the development team.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 2+ years of fundraising/development experience which can include Annual giving campaigns, individual donor fundraising, direct mail and email appeals, donor stewardship and retention, fundraising events, and donor database/CRM systems.
  • Must have a valid CA Drivers License/ Insurance & a working vehicle.
  • Experience working with fundraising databases (e.g., Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce, or similar CRM platforms) required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling donor communications.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members and other departments.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
