POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for leading all activities to support fundraising campaigns and appeals. Will build relationships with prospective donors and manage existing donor relationships through engagement and outreach strategies. This position manages and grows a portfolio of corporate and individual donors, with a strong emphasis on corporate giving, sponsorship development, and long-term relationship cultivation.

  • Prepare assigned reports, work records, statistical data, job performance evaluations, work plans, etc. in a timely manner.
DUTIES
Fundraising Campaigns & Appeals
  • Lead all activities to support the Annual Campaign and related fundraising appeals, including employee campaigns, direct mail, corporate giving, matching campaign, giveback days, giving Tuesday, etc.
  • Participate in grant development activities in coordination with the Development & Communications Director, including researching funding opportunities and assisting with proposal writing.
  • Support donor communications by contributing to stewardship messaging and impact communications in coordination with the Development & Communications team.
Corporate Partnerships & Sponsorship Development
  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward corporate sponsors and business partners.
  • Build customized sponsorship packages and corporate engagement opportunities.
  • Track corporate revenue goals and provide monthly progress reports.
  • Provide dedicated event support through corporate partnerships, ensuring timely stewardship, recognition, and fulfillment of sponsor benefits.
Donor Cultivation and Stewardship
  • Manage and actively steward a portfolio of individual and corporate donors, with responsibility for maintaining accurate records, consistent communication, and meaningful engagement.
  • Support donor retention efforts by ensuring donors experience timely appreciation, transparency, and connection to the impact of their support.
  • Ensure timely and thoughtful stewardship activities, including but not limited to personalized thank-you calls and emails, handwritten notes, and donor recognition.
  • Leverage agency events as strategic donor cultivation and stewardship opportunities, including identifying key donors to engage and coordinating follow-up.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree preferred and a minimum of two years of relevant experience. Five or more years of experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Demonstrated experience in fundraising and donor stewardship.
  • Experience with conducting corporate appeals, stewardship, and volunteer engagements.
  • Ability to work effectively with staff, volunteers, donors, and public entities.
  • Experience with grant research, writing, and reporting preferred.
  • Strong organizational, project management and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
  • Excellent verbal, written and communication skills.
  • Pass agency paid criminal justice screening including fingerprints.
  • Pass agency paid TB (Tuberculosis) screening.
  • Pass agency paid health screening and/or drug testing (if required).
  • Valid California driver's license and proof of auto insurance coverage (required).
  • Pass agency paid MVR clearance with no more than 2 points - if you are under the age of 25 our insurance company will not allow any points.
