Job summary

Michigan Humane in Detroit is seeking an Annual Fund Manager to develop and implement strategies for individual donor fundraising from $1 to $4,999. This role focuses on growth of annual gifts and sustaining operating revenue.

You will supervise a team, oversee direct mail and digital solicitations, and align donor communications with marketing and events to maximize impact.

Strong leadership, strategic planning, and ethical fundraising are essential to advance our mission.

Growth expectations include the number of individual annual fund donors as well as the amount of general operating revenue.Responsibilities include direct mail, digital and one-to-one solicitations, as well as tribute, matching and sustainer programs.Supervise a team of development professionals.Oversee direct mail vendor and program strategy, working with staff and account managers on planning, budgeting, implementation, and reporting.Lead mid-level giving strategy and manage portfolio of donors towards building major gift pipeline.Coordinate development operations calendar for all Development activities, aligning with marketing, clinic and organizational activities and events.Activate, monitor and continuously improve donor-wide Stewardship Program and process.Oversee update and alignment of acknowledgement letters and messaging.Draft, edit and approve all fundraising messaging, including Direct Mail, digital, and sustainer solicitations, and newsletters.Collaborate closely with marketing, operations, and development team members.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Passionate about leading and being accountable for revenue goals and managing a fundraising program. A demonstrated record of success in goal achievement.Possesses a clear understanding and appreciation for Michigan Humane mission, programs and revenue generation needs. Committed to Michigan Humane Core Values and ethical fundraising practices.Ability to strategize, plan, execute and interact with tact, diplomacy and discretion.Proven ability to work well under pressure and excel at planning, executing and following up on details.Artful communicator.
