Job summary

IndyHumane is seeking an Annual Fund Manager to lead strategy, planning, and evaluation of the annual fund program. You will develop campaigns across direct mail, digital, and integrated channels, with a focus on sustained operating revenue and donor retention.

You will manage a donor portfolio, cultivate relationships, and collaborate with the Chief Development Officer to align campaigns with IndyHumane’s mission and funding priorities. Strong data analysis and CRM skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
• Three to five years of fundraising, development, donor relations, annual giving, or related experience preferred.
• Experience using CRM or fundraising database software required.
• Experience with donor cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, or fundraising campaign execution.

Responsibilities

• Own and actively manage a portfolio of annual fund donors.
• Develop individualized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies for assigned donors.
• Build meaningful donor relationships designed to deepen engagement and increase philanthropic support.
• Maintain regular and appropriate donor contact through phone calls, email, meetings, events, personalized communications, and other engagement opportunities.
• Coordinate with the Chief Development Officer and other Development staff regarding donors for advancement into higher giving levels.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of donor interactions within the CRM.
