Job summary

The Catholic Community Foundation (CCF) is seeking an Annual Appeals Coordinator to support diocesan fundraising campaigns and donor communications from our Cathedral Square offices in Cleveland.

The role focuses on coordinating appeals such as Catholic Charities Appeal and Priestly Formation Appeal, collaborating with parishes, diocesan offices, and external vendors to ensure successful campaigns and strong pastoral relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or preferred in a related field.
• Minimum of three years fundraising campaign experience.
• Experience with Catholic Church or faith-based organization preferred.
• Experience coordinating projects involving multiple stakeholders preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate diocesan appeals and annual fundraising campaigns.

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Executive Director of the Catholic Community Foundation (CCF), this position supports the Foundation’s annual fundraising initiatives by coordinating the planning, implementation, and execution of diocesan appeals, including the Catholic Charities Appeal, the Priestly Formation Appeal, and other annual fundraising campaigns. This position serves as a primary liaison with parishes, diocesan offices, Catholic Charities, and external vendors to ensure successful campaign execution, strong pastoral relationships, and effective donor communications.

Position Responsibilities

The Annual Appeals Coordinator supports the Catholic Community Foundation’s annual fundraising efforts, including the Catholic Charities Appeal, Priestly Formation Appeal, and other diocesan appeals. Working under the direction of the Executive Director, this position collaborates with Catholic Charities, diocesan leaders, parishes, and external vendors to execute appeals, strengthen pastoral relationships, support donor communications, and advance digital engagement through social media and #weGiveCatholic Giving Day.

Duties/Essential Functions

• Coordinate day-to-day activities for the Catholic Charities Appeal, Priestly Formation Appeal, and other annual appeals.
• Support the development of appeal materials by gathering photos and content, coordinating edits, and routing materials for approval.
• Support onsite appeal events by coordinating logistics, materials, and attendee needs.
• Coordinate email, social media, and other electronic communications in alignment with the communications calendar.
• Manage coordination, planning, and strategic direction with internal and external vendor partners.
• Maintain pastoral relationships with parishes to support local appeal planning, implementation, and goal achievement.
• Coordinate the in-pew portion of the Catholic Charities Appeal by distributing materials, responding to parish questions, and following up to support success.
• Assist with #weGiveCatholic Giving Day, including digital strategy, participant tracking and communication, training support, and coordination with the CCF team.
• Use technology resources to communicate with, steward, and solicit donors for annual appeals.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of three years of experience supporting fundraising campaigns, annual appeals, donor relations, marketing, communications, or nonprofit administration preferred.
• Experience working with the Catholic Church or another faith-based organization strongly preferred.
• Experience coordinating projects involving multiple stakeholders preferred.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in email marketing platforms (e.g., Constant Contact, Mailchimp, HubSpot, etc.).
• Working knowledge of social media management and analytics tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
