Job summary

JFL Consulting, LLC is seeking a motivated Junior Network Engineer in Annapolis, MD to maintain Cisco and Aruba networks, including LAN, WAN, VoIP, and wireless infrastructure. The role requires off-hours work for repairs, updates, patches, and maintenance, with responsibilities spanning monitoring, documentation, and project support.

Salary ranges from $70,000 to $90,000, with 100% employer-paid medical/dental/vision for employees and dependents, along with a robust benefits package, FSA

Qualifications

• Experience in network infrastructure and administration, preferably Aruba environments.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• DoD 8140-compliant certifications: Security+, GIAC GSEC, or CYSA+.
• CCNA or HPE Aruba ACA-Switching certification.
• Willingness to be available for off-hours work for repairs, updates, patches, and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Network Engineers in monitoring and maintaining Switches and routers.
• Help with new system rollouts and network change requests (switch, router, firewall).
• Perform load balancing changes and troubleshooting across switches, routers, wireless, and WANs.
• Monitor network management tools and provide performance reports to site management.
• Apply critical security patches and maintain network documentation.
