Job summary

Baptist Health (Jacksonville) seeks an experienced Assistant Nurse Manager for the AAU/ICU on a night shift to oversee, direct, and provide patient care across critical care units. You will coordinate assigned rooms, assess care needs, and involve patients and families in developing individualized plans of care.

Required are an RN license in the state, BLS/ACLS, and ICU/post-surgical nursing experience; a BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required in state of practice.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• ICU/post-surgical nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, direct and provide patient care in ICU/AAU.
• Coordinate care with nursing staff, ancillary services, and family members.
• Education of patients and families about disease processes and care plans.

Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization; supervision of care provided by supportive personnel and coordination of care provided by ancillary services. Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care. Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care. Responsibilities include: Coordination and preparation of assigned room/case, assessment of patient care needs and the anticipation of needs of the case. This position requires call.

Responsible for overseeing, directing, and providing care to patients requiring immediate treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.

Education/Degree Required:

Associate of Science in Nursing Or

Degree Preferred:

Bachelor of Arts/Science (BA/BS)

Experience:

• ICU Experience Required
• Post- Surgical Nursing Experience Required
• Nursing Experience

License and Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required
• Licensed Registered Nurse Required
