Job summary

Qualifications

• One year and six (6) months of paid work experience in a Jefferson Parish classification providing administrative support.
• One year of paid work experience in a supervisory capacity at an animal facility overseeing operations.
• Two years of paid work experience in investigating animal-related complaints and coordinating logistics.
• Associate’s degree or 15+ credit hours in Animal Health Care, Animal Behavior/Science, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Humane Officers and veterinary-related activities while ensuring safety and welfare of animals.
• Coordinates promotions, transports, and enrichment programs for improved animal health and adaptability.
• Directs staff training, court duties support, and animal care operations as needed.
