Responsibilities

• Enforce Macon-Bibb County codes and ordinances related to animal welfare.
• Enforce Georgia state animal welfare laws.
• Patrol county to locate and apprehend animals in violation.
• Write citations for violations of animal welfare laws.
• Investigate and maintain records of calls dispatched.
• Testify in court when necessary.
• Provide courteous service and educate the public on animal care.
• Quarantine and humane disposition of animals as required.
• Perform emergency services after hours as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of assigned vehicle.
