Job summary

The City of Lewisville is seeking an Animal Services Officer to enforce animal control ordinances, investigate complaints, and ensure public health and safety. You will handle shelter operations, perform humane euthanasia when required, and maintain accurate records using department software.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must possess or acquire Texas Animal Control Officer Basic Course within six months of hire.
• Must possess or acquire Certified Euthanasia Technician certification within four months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Responds to calls for service involving animals and public health concerns.
• Enforces animal control ordinances and state laws; issues warnings, citations, and notices of violation.
• Performs humane euthanasia in accordance with state regulations and department policies.
• Completes accurate reports, case files, and animal records using department software.
