Job summary

The position supports research projects, reports to vivarium supervisors, and requires strong communication and detail orientation. Some weekend coverage and training are part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of animal husbandry or ALAT certification preferred.
• Experience with rodents and non-human primates is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily animal husbandry including feeding, watering, cage changes, and enrichment.
• Monitor health and behavior; document findings and report to veterinary staff.
• Receive animals and supplies; assist with colony management and humane euthanasia as needed.
• Maintain clean, compliant animal housing areas and proper recordkeeping.
• Operate health monitoring software and data entry tools as required.
