Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, AZ, seeks an Animal Care Technician to provide quality care for research animals under supervision, performing husbandry tasks and ensuring clean, safe facilities.

You will collaborate with veterinary staff and researchers, participate in training of animal care technicians, and assist with facility operations, scheduling and inventory. This is a full-time role with a rotating schedule and no visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Two years experience in a lab animal care position or equivalent.
• Demonstration of leadership and ability to work with others.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care to all animals in research, including husbandry tasks.
• Assist with training and development of animal care technicians.
• Communicate with principal investigators and lab staff to answer questions.
• Perform additional duties as detailed by staff veterinarians or supervisors.
