Responsibilities:
- 1. Act as a primary point of contact for clients seeking advice and consultation on animal health and wellness.
- 2. Perform routine check-ups and physical examinations to assess the health of animals.
- 3. Assist veterinarians in diagnosing and treating a variety of health conditions in small animals.
- 4. Provide advice on the appropriate care, feeding, and general maintenance of animals to ensure their optimal health and wellbeing.
- 5. Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian.
- 6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of animal conditions, treatments, and progress.
- 7. Educate pet owners on the importance of preventive care, including regular vaccinations and check-ups.
- 8. Stay abreast of the latest advancements and trends in animal health and veterinary science.
- 9. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for animals.
- 10. Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- 1. A degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Technology, or a related field.
- 2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a veterinary or animal healthcare setting.
- 3. Extensive knowledge of animal health and wellness, particularly in relation to small animals and dogs.
- 4. Proven experience in diagnosing and treating a variety of animal health conditions.
- 5. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey information to pet owners.
- 6. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think quickly and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
- 7. Proficiency in the use of veterinary software and technology.
- 8. A compassionate and patient approach to animal care.
- 9. A commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
- 10. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
