BRIDGE PTS is a GLP-compliant CRO focused on preclinical studies, based in San Antonio, TX. We seek an entry level Animal Technician to care for research animals, assist with handling, and support lab readiness.

This full-time, on-site role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and welfare, with a Monday–Friday schedule and some pre-scheduled exceptions. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in animal science, biology, or related field, and a willingness to perform physical tasks.

Role Description

The entry level Animal Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in San Antonio, TX. Responsibilities include care and monitoring of research animals, including feeding, watering, cleaning enclosures, and documenting observations. The role involves assisting with animal handling and procedural support, as well as helping prepare and maintain laboratories, instruments, and surgical areas. The Animal Technician will follow detailed study protocols, support data collection and record-keeping, and collaborate with scientists, veterinarians, and other technical staff to ensure animal welfare and study quality.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Bachelor’s degree required; coursework or degree in animal science, biology, or related field is preferred.
• Comfort with working around animals for extended periods and performing physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing.
