Medix™ is seeking an Animal Care Technician to maintain clean housing rooms, feed animals twice daily, and perform routine health checks. You will administer medications as needed and document all activities with precise traceability.

Enrichment and welfare-focused interactions are also part of the role. Qualified candidates will have at least 1 year of experience in a research setting, be able to stand most of the day, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualificações

• 1 year of experience as an Animal Care Technician in a research setting.
• Ability to stand and remain on your feet for ~80–90% of the day.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsabilidades

• Clean and maintain animal housing rooms, feed animals twice daily, and complete daily cleaning tasks.
• Perform daily clinical observations to monitor animal health and well-being.
• Administer medications, including oral medications; vaccinations training provided as needed.
• Accurately document care activities, observations, medication administration, and reactions with traceability.
• Provide enrichment, interaction, and play to support welfare and quality of life.
• Follow established protocols for animal care, cleaning, and documentation.

• Ability to stand and remain on your feet for approximately 80–90% of the workday.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with large mammals preferred.
