Job summary

Collier County's Domestic Animal Services seeks a seasoned administrator to support the Division Director in running the county animal shelter and care programs. You will oversee intake, housing, care, and disposition, coordinate with law enforcement, and supervise staff across kennels, veterinary coordination, and community outreach.

With a Bachelor's degree and five years of related supervisory experience, you will implement policies, manage budgets and contracts, and help advance public

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Five years of related experience, with supervisory/management experience.
• Fingerprinting required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee shelter operations, including intake, housing, care, and disposition.
• Manage daily shelter operations through supervisors; oversee kennel, care staff, adoption programs, safety.
• Coordinate with Code Enforcement, Animal Control Officers, and sheriff's office on intake and disposition.
• Provide administrative support to veterinary clinic and community programs.
• Develop staff, conduct performance appraisals, schedule training.
• Assist in budgeting, contracts, procurement, and vendor relations.
• Assist in community outreach and events; represent division in meetings.
• May assist with euthanasia activities per protocols.
