Job summary

Labcorp in Greenfield, Indiana seeks a Research Study Technician to join our Animal Operations team. Schedule is Mon–Fri 7:00am–3:45pm EST, with occasional weekend requirements after training. This role supports early drug development studies and animal care in a regulated lab setting.

The ideal candidate has a life sciences background with hands-on animal care experience and the ability to follow study procedures precisely. Relocation assistance is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in animal science, biology, wildlife studies, or related life science field.
• 2+ years of college in related sciences and 1–2 years of hands-on animal care in laboratory/research or farming operation.
• AALAS certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct animal research studies focused on safety, efficacy, and toxicity of drugs in early development or chemicals.
• May provide husbandry duties to small and large animals.
• Perform dosing techniques with small and large animals.
• Perform bleeding techniques with small and large animals.
• Collect biological samples.
• Measure body weight, food intake, body temperature, blood pressure, etc.
• Maintain AAALAC standards for animal care and welfare.
