Job summary

A photography studio is seeking an assistant for pet portraiture on weekends. Responsibilities include assisting with lighting, handling pets, and ensuring a calming environment during shoots. The ideal candidate should have some photography experience, strong communication skills, and a love for pets. This is an on-location role primarily in Glendale, CA, with some remote social media work possible.

Qualifications

• Available on Saturdays and Sundays for shoots.

• Comfort with handling and interacting with various pets.

Overview

Furtographs captures pets and other breathing subjects in a modern, clean, and dramatic manner. Our home base studio is located in the Glendale Atwater area. While primarily serving Southern California, Furtographs frequently operates in major cities such as New York City, Philadelphia, Chicago, San Francisco, and Seattle, along with other locations by request.

Role Description

This is an occasional position when I/photographer comes to LA from the East Coast to shoot Furtographs Portrait weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the lead photographer with setting up lighting and equipment
• Handling and positioning animals during photo shoots
• Ensuring a safe and calming environment for pets

Compensation & Location

Generous hourly wage for in-studio work and TBD remote social media and marketing work from home. Location: Glendale, CA (on-site) with occasional on-location shoots in the LA area.
