Job summary

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment in Orlando seeks dedicated individuals to become Ambassadors. You will perform laboratory analyses to support veterinarians and curators in managing the health of the animal collection, especially for rescued and rehabilitated animals.

The role requires a BS in a related field, CLS/MT experience, and ASCP registration. We value strong communication skills, data entry accuracy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in a related field.
• Clinical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist experience.
• Registered with the ASCP.
• Working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation, including QC and Troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of Microbiology diagnostics and the Vitek2 preferred.
• Prepare laboratory reports and enter results in digital medical records.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft applications, spreadsheets and databases.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory analyses to support veterinarians and curators in managing animal health.
• Maintain records and enter data into computer systems.
• Prepare and process samples for animal care and research projects.
• Maintain laboratory supplies and equipment; assist in animal care projects as needed.
• Comply with all applicable regulations and safety protocols.
• Provide excellent animal care service and respond to team needs.
