Job summary

Washington State University’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital is seeking an Animal Facilities Care Supervisor. You will oversee daily small animal care services, ensure welfare and compliance, and supervise staff to maintain a safe, productive environment in Pullman, WA.

The role requires two years as an Animal Technician 3 with lead responsibility or equivalent education/experience, plus radiation safety training. This is a full-time position with salary details provided by the department.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as an Animal Technician 3, at least one year must include lead OR supervisory responsibility.
• Equivalent education/experience may include a Bachelor’s Degree, progress toward degree and/or customer service experience.
• Must pass WSU radiation safety training exam first time it is available.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of small animal care services and ensure animal welfare, biosecurity, sanitation, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead and supervise animal care personnel; hire, train, schedule, and evaluate civil service and hourly employees.
• Coordinate stocking and inventory of supplies; oversee laundry collection/processing and proper disposal of waste and regulated materials.
• Maintain operational records and assist with minor equipment repairs as needed; support clinical operations.
