Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Texas Class C Driver’s license is mandatory.
• Basic Animal Control Officer Certification must be obtained within one year of employment.
• Euthanasia Certification to be completed within one year of employment.
• Six months experience with animal care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enforce animal control ordinances and state laws.
• Investigate reports of nuisance or dangerous animals.
• Prepare various reports and logs.
• Perform animal care duties and assist with public inquiries.
• Testify in court regarding cases.
