Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of a high school diploma.
• Must be able to assume responsibility and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must follow NIH Guide for the Care and Use of Animals and related guidelines.
• Must have above-average manual dexterity and physical ability to lift 50 pounds.
• 1 to 2 years animal handling preferred.
• Certification as ALAT recommended after 2 years of experience.
• Visa sponsorship not available; U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties to provide quality care to animals used in research, including husbandry, feeding, watering, sanitation, and room cleaning.
• Complete an OnDemand (pre-recorded) interview as part of the selection process; final recording will be reviewed by Mayo Clinic staff.
