Hub City Humane Society is a state-of-the-art animal care facility in Hattiesburg, MS, dedicated to providing compassionate care for homeless, neglected, and abused animals. The facility includes a community park, dog park, and nature trail, aiming to engage the community in animal care and humane education.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Animal Care Technician located in Hattiesburg, MS. The Animal Care Technician will be responsible for daily care and feeding of animals, monitoring animal health, maintaining clean and sanitary conditions, and assisting in animal medical procedures. Additional responsibilities include providing compassionate handling, assisting with pet adoptions, and engaging with the community to promote animal welfare.

Qualifications

  1. Experience in Animal Care, Pet Care, and Animal Work
  2. Knowledge of Animal Health and ability to monitor and report health concerns
  3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  4. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  5. Previous experience in a shelter or veterinary environment is a plus
  6. High school diploma or equivalent
