Job summary

Humane Society of Northeast Georgia seeks dedicated Animal Care and Enrichment Technicians to care for animals and provide daily enrichment. The role requires cleaning kennels, feeding, observing health, and assisting with adoptions. You will interact with the public and help uphold HSNEGA policies while supporting a humane, safe environment.

This full‑time or part‑time position includes evenings, weekends, and holidays with a strong emphasis on teamwork and compassionate animal welfare.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent education preferred with training or experience.
• Excellent customer service, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of animal welfare and handling skills a plus.
• Willing to obtain training or continuing education as needed.
• Demonstrated ability to work with the public in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality daily animal care and enrichment.
• Sanitize kennels and maintain cleanliness of facilities.
• Assist with feeding, grooming, and health observations.
• Offer counseling and education to the public on HSNEGA policies.
• Assist with adoption counseling and photography for marketing.
• Report issues to supervision and help maintain records.
