We are looking to add an Animal Care Attendant to our team at Pet Palace Indianapolis

Core Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

1. Supports the Mission, Vision, and Values of Destination Pet.
2. Sanitizes and disinfects pet enclosures and general boarding areas.
3. Provides clean bedding and ensures pet guests have clean water at all times.
4. Feeds pets with the correct type and quantity of food for each meal and maintains cleanliness of food prep areas.
5. Monitors and accurately charts consumption and elimination of each pet guest; reports concerns to the General Manager or Assistant Manager.
6. Visually checks pet guests for safety and well-being throughout the day.
7. May supervise group play for dogs and/or individual activities for pet guests.
8. May assist with bathing and brushing canine guests.
9. Picks up excrement from enclosures and other areas as needed.
10. Monitors and cleans pet belongings; ensures return to owners; assists with storage and customer service as needed.
11. Performs daily laundering of pet bedding and towels.

Requirements:

1. Must be a pet enthusiast – pets are part of our family!
2. Professional animal care/kennel experience preferred.
3. Displays a professional manner at all times.
4. Entry Level role. High school/College/Teenagers 16+ encouraged to apply.

Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
2. Frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
3. Stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently.
4. Handle dogs on leashes safely.
5. Work in environments with disinfectants, animal dander, and excretions.

Reports To: General Manager

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 / hour + tips
