Location

Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Department Information

This position does require holidays/weekends on a rotating basis and would be considered essential in inclement weather.

Job Summary

Performs routine duties associated with animal care in a research setting. Completes daily health observations, feeding, watering, and cleaning associated with laboratory species.

Responsibilities
  • Observes animal behavior and conditions, feeds and waters animals, maintains sanitary conditions, collects specimens, and aids research and veterinary personnel
  • Reports clinical health observations to the Attending Veterinarian or supervisory personnel in the appropriate manner
  • Performs routine duties associated with animal care, including restraining, medicating, and cleaning
  • May assist in maintaining animal housing areas and facilities
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.

Required Experience

Previous experience with animal care or equivalent related experience.

An undergraduate or advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
