Job summary

Frederick County Government, Maryland is seeking an Animal Care Attendant for the Frederick County Animal Control Center. Qualifications

• Knowledge of humane handling of animals or ability to learn it.
• Ability to discuss breed characteristics with customers considering adoption.
• Strong spoken and written English communication; clerical and record-keeping duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and thoroughly clean cages, runs and common areas.
• Examine animals for general condition and report illnesses or injuries.
• Move animals to/from cages and visiting areas during pre-adoption process.
• Provide customers with information about breed characteristics and suitability for home.
• Assist with inventory of kennel supplies and equipment.
• Perform other related duties as required.
