Job summary

The Town of Flower Mound is seeking an Animal Care Attendant to perform daily maintenance of animal habitats, feed and care for animals, and assist with adoptions. Responsibilities include transporting animals to veterinary facilities, updating online adoption listings, and participating in events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must complete certified animal euthanasia course within 120 days.
• Valid Texas driver’s license required.
• Must have basic computer skills and good English communication.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize animal habitats and kennels daily.
• Feed, walk, bathe, and care for animals; handle medications and logs.
• Conduct animal adoption interviews and complete paperwork.
• Transport animals to veterinarian appointments as needed.
• Assist public inquiries and help with receiving animals at the shelter.
• Update the website and social media with adoptable animals and events.
• Evaluate temperament and contribute to disposition recommendations.
• Work with volunteers and report health or behavior changes to management.
• Participate in on- and off-site events and maintain safety compliance.
