Job summary

Bio-Techne is seeking an Animal Blood Collection Driver to safely collect, handle and transport bovine and porcine blood from approved slaughterhouses to the processing site. The role requires compliance with biosafety, temperature control and documentation standards, with frequent travel to collection sites and hands-on work in active environments.

Responsibilities include operating PPE-compliant collection and transport systems, maintaining logs, and ensuring accurate chain-of-custody records

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Knowledge of or ability to learn biohazard safety protocols and sanitation standards.
• Ability to lift and carry 40–80 lbs and push or maneuver heavy containers and carts (250+ lbs).

Responsibilities

• Drive to slaughterhouse locations and collect blood at the kill line following approved procedures.
• Set up sterile collection containers, anticoagulant systems, hoses and related equipment.
• Transport collected biological materials under specified conditions and ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain collection records, batch logs, volume logs and chain-of-custody documentation.
• Comply with GMP, biohazard handling, safety and data integrity requirements.
• Coordinate collection schedules and support safety and logistics improvements.
