KeyBank is seeking a Technical Lead to guide the digital banking platform within the access management squad. You will combine hands-on coding with cloud-native architecture, DevOps, and leadership across web, mobile, and microservice ecosystems.

You will drive API standards, modern authentication patterns, and secure software delivery while mentoring engineers and shaping engineering practices. The role offers hybrid in-office and flexible work options in Brooklyn, OH.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 3+ years in a senior engineer, technical lead, or architecture-focused role.
• Experience with full-stack development across web/mobile, API, and microservices.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural discussions and technical design reviews.
• Mentor engineers through coaching and code reviews.
• Build scalable, enterprise-grade web applications and distributed systems.
• Define API standards and integration patterns using OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Develop cloud-native services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build modern front-end experiences with Angular/TypeScript and mobile with Flutter, iOS and Android.
• Drive CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and secure software delivery.
• Promote observability, monitoring, and high availability of systems.
