Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX is seeking an Angiography Special Procedures Technologist to support the radiology team. The role focuses on producing timely, high-quality angiography images while following established safety protocols and patient care standards.

Requires an Associate’s Degree or equivalent hospital-based certification, 1 year of technologist experience, ARRT certification, Texas Medical Board license, and CPR/BLS.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent hospital based certification.
  • 1 year experience working as Technologist.
  • ARRT AMER REG OF RAD TECH
  • Texas Medical Board License
  • BLS certification required (AHA/ARC) depending on unit or department.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates the ability to produce timely/quality diagnostic images while properly operating the appropriate equipment and following established protocols in Angiography.
  • Practices proper patient handling to ensure patient safety by using proper lifting/moving techniques, aids and restraints.
  • Accurately documents all information pertaining to a patient’s clinical history, physician order and the procedure log book.
  • Ensures correct/timely entry of procedure/supply charges and exam completions.
  • Assists Radiologists in the performance of special procedure examinations.
  • Maintains imaging equipment in optimal order and cleans, restocks and maintains exam rooms.
  • Assembles and presents all exam documents and images for the Radiologist in a timely manner.
  • Displays adaptability, flexibility, creativeness, prioritization and assistance to co-workers, managers and physicians.
  • Participates in educational programs, in-services and department meetings.
  • Participates and assists with the training and orientation of new employees and students.
  • Knowledgeable of the department performance improvement initiatives and participates in identifying and resolving issues.
  • Provides timely documentation of active ARRT, TDH and CPR licenses.

$10,000 Sign-on Bonus

Shift: Saturday, Sunday, and Monday 0600-1830

Position is eligible for Weekend Incentive Plan for additional 10% of base pay above the shift differential.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Required
  • Education

Associate’s Degree or equivalent hospital based certification.

  • Experience

1 year experience working as Technologist.

Texas Medical Board License

(BLS) BASIC LIFE SUPPORT course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) required depending on unit or department.
