Job summary

The Salvation Army in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Seasonal Full-Time worker for the Christmas center. The role involves lifting and loading donations, promoting safety, and assisting with warehouse setup and potential mall or corporate pickups.

Responsibilities

• Maintains good relationship with donors to promote a favorable image of The Salvation Army.
• Unloads the truck at the Christmas warehouse.

About this opportunity:

Works in the Christmas center; lifts, carries, loads and unloads variety of donations that may include furniture, appliances, clothing, etc.; works to promote the safety and security of the warehouse; assists with the cleanup, lay out, and set up of the warehouse; assists with possible pick up from the malls or corporations, if necessary.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Ability to perform strenuous, heavy work involving the lifting and carrying of heavy objects. Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing. Work requires working in a warehouse environment with exposure to fluctuating temperatures and discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
